HOME Our Stallion Horses for Sale Training Boarding

The training we do here at SGR consists of a winning combination of natural horsemanship methods.
I have been working with horses, showing in Open and Breed shows in Western and Trail for about 35 years, half of that I've been training. Attending clinics and seminars, I always keep up on the newest techniques. We have no special equipment here to buy . . . we only have trust, patience, respect and willingness to build. If you have respect on the ground, you'll have it when you ride.

Horses of all ages and breeds are taught respect and confidence without fear, intimidation, or resistance through step-by-step techniques that have been a great success. The end result is a happier, more willing and responsive horse and a satisfied client.
If you'd like a horse that is trail broke, (can go over bridges, thru gates, sidepass and more) we can teach them that, too. We work with babies from imprinting to an older horse needing a "refresher course".

Since we have recently moved, it will be sometime this spring/summer before we can get any facilities up and running, so we are offering to come to your ranch or home for your convenience. Give us a call at (406) 861-8663 or e-mail us at darlene@silvergaitranch.com and we'll work something out to fit your needs.
Clients Comments:

"At Silver Gait Ranch, the stalls are kept clean, my horses were always fed great, when there is a crisis, they've always been there to help me out (I've been back 3 times!) I have yet to find another private facility with such superior care." Jennifer R. - Valley Springs

"Darlene successfully works with problem horse behavior and trust issues all with positive reinforcement and natural horsemanship methods. She teaches the owner how to develop a relationship with the horse and advocates bonding is necessary along with keeping cues consistent. I am very pleased with the results of Darlene's training and what I have learned from her." Tami Jo M. - Oakdale

"At SGR, they take pride in their ranch and work. They are knowledgeable and very good with the horses. I'd suggest you stop by and talk with Darlene . . . you'll be glad you did. It's a very relaxing place." Karen H. - Valley Springs

This Morgan mare was out in 200 acres and untouched. With a little trust and kindness, she was sold to happy new owners.

Coming here at 2 yrs. of age, this Paso Fino mare is now a happy pleasure/trail horse.
